Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this research, we analyzed the following nods which occurred after the final motion of a sign word by hands and conjunctions as sign words in Japanese Sign Language. The spontaneous dialogue data were recorded in the environment where they can look at each other via prompters and three dialogue data by four naitive signers used for the analysis. As a result, it was suggested that there were four types of functions about the following nods; Topicalization, Ordinary conjunction, Conditional conjunction, Escape from the role shift. Then we analyzed the cooccurrence of conjunctions as sign words and nods, and it was suggested that when conjunctions occured, nods tend to occur and synchronize with conjunctions. But when the conjunction have a negative meaning, there was no tendency about these cooccurence with nods.
