Abstract(in English) | This paper develops a voice controlled powered wheelchair. Julian that is the large vocabulary continuous voice recognition system is used for the voice recognition. Our system has fifteen motion commands and two verification commands to prevent malfunction by false recognition. Moreover, our system implements the interactive operation of the user of the system. The collision avoidance system that works the deceleration, the stop, and the avoidance motion according to the situation even if there is no instruction of the user when it seems to recognize a surrounding environment based on two kinds of sensor information, and to collide with the wall or obstacle is built in, and we develop safety powered wheelchair. The voice recognition accuracy, the running time, the number of instructions, and the collision frequency by the running experiment, are measured through the subject experiment, and the effectiveness of this system is evaluated. |
