| Abstract(in English) | This study investigated to identify factors that related to accurate decoding of interpersonal relationships. 67 university students were showed silent films on which 2 persons were communicating. After the film they evaluated what relationship they were committed (e.g., parent-child, friends, first meet) and how long they are familiar with each other. They also evaluated the scale of social skills (ACT) and personality (MPI; extraversion). The results showed that accurate responses related to using many cues to decode. Cues of "look", "manner of speaking", and "facial expression" were effective for accurate decoding, but cues of "bodily movement" and "interpersonal distance" were not useful or related to inaccuracy. ACT and MPI didn't have effect on accuracy of decoding. Useful suggestions for effective social skills training were discussed in relation to the way of facilitating participants of training. |
