Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The purpose of this study is to examine the relation between focal attention and color feature processing. Previous studies have shown that unattended objects could be detected more efficiently when the attended and the unattended objects are common in color feature. In a experiment, subjects were required to identify the color of a peripheral blob as well as the value and color of a digit in the focal attention. The spatial distribution of activation should be decrease with the distance from the focus of attention centered on the attended object. However, the distribution might be decrease with the distance from the fixation point. The dual-task experiment could be conducted to examine these possibilities.
