Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A new technique for direct analysis of powder sample has been developed by employing a metal mesh, which induces strong gas breakdown plasma under TEA CO_2 laser irradiation at atmospheric pressure of surrounding gas. In this technique, the powder samples were placed into a small hole with a diameter of 2 mm and a depth of 3 mm and covered by the metal mesh. By using this technique, quantitative analysis of milk powder samples containing different concentrations of Ca was successfully demonstrated, resulting in a good linear calibration curve with high precision.
