Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A diode-pumped Kerr-lens mode-locked Yb:YAG laser has been developed for miniaturization and efficient operation. Kerr medium and gain medium were separated for highly efficient oscillation and mode-locking stabilization. The oscillation spectrum is much broader than the fluorescent spectrum at 1030 nm. Shortest pulse duration of 72 fs was obtained from a laser-diode-pumped Kerr-lens mode-locked Yb:YAG laser. The center wavelength was 1030 nm and the spectral bandwidth was 17 nm.
