Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Phase distortion in frequency response of the analog front-end causes imbalance of the in-phase (I) and quadrature-phase (Q) signals of a quadrature receiver. Such I/Q imbalance causes spurious peaks in radar profile. Conventional methods of imbalance correction assume narrow band signal, and they can not deal with the wideband signal. In this paper, we propose a phase imbalance correction method for wideband signal. The effect of the proposed method is evaluated with a simulated point scatterers data and SAR image. It is shown that the spurious peaks caused by I/Q imbalance are sufficiently suppresed by the proposed method.
