Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A pseudo-random phase modulation code is widely used in radar transmission to eliminate range ambiguity. However, performance of suppressing unwanted echoes is not necessarily enough for actual applications. In this report, we examine the cause of such deterioration by computer simulations. Rejection of a second-trip echo also removes a part of ground echo component in the first-trip region. This slightly disturbs phase of ground echo and decreases performance of suppressing ground echoes. The degree of interaction depends both on the Doppler frequency of the removed a second-trip echo and the pattern of the pseudo-random code. This means that performance of removing first-trip ground echoes will be improved if the optimal pseudo-random code is selected in accordance with a center frequency of a second-trip echo.
