Abstract(in English) We have developed a bend loss free GI fiber suit for space-saving optical wiring. This fiber has compatibility with conventional GI fiber, and also shows extremely low loss even at 5 mm radius bending. We also confirmed that the fiber showed good stability with respect to lGb/s data transmission and complied with a gigabit system standard(IEEE802.3z) in our experiment. In this paper, we report an evaluation result about several types of prototype fibers.
