Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Nanostructures of ZnO were successfully fabricated by a simple ultrasonic cavitational activation by treating hydrochloric acid without assistance of any catalyst. This simple synthetic method only requires Hcl and ethanol which enable to generate low cost and moderate temperature of ZnO thin films. ZnO nanorods were obtained by process through the control of nucleation and crystal grown on substrates. These products were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Raman and UV-vis absorption spectrophotometer. XRD and EDX indicated that the nanorods are hexagonal ZnO. These nanorod arrays are potential for the creation of functional materials, such as the electrode of the solar cell and photonic devices.
