Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A narrow-band signal detection technique using autocorrelation for carrier sensing in cognitive radio transceiver is investigated. An input signal is Fourier transformed using overlapped-FFT and the output Fourier transform coefficient sequence of a specific bin is directly processed by autocorrelation calculation. The calculated autocorrelation is normalized by corresponding signal energy and the normalized autocorrelations are averaged varying delay. In this manuscript, influence of overlapped-FFT, normalization, averaging across small number of delays and bandwidth of an included narrow-band signal are analyzed and the results of simulations are shown. Although there is penalty because the number of delays in averaging is small, a narrow-band signal of SNR=-8dB can be detected. In addition to the detection of presence of a narrow-band signal, there are possibilities of detecting detailed frequency of the narrow-band signal and identification of harmonics of PC clock and the principles are confirmed by simulations.
