| 抄録(和) | 現在,IEEE802委員会では,802.11無線LAN規格のメッシュネットワーク拡張の標準化作業が進行中である.この作業はIEEE802.11Working Group下のTask Group"s"にて行われており,メッシュネットワーク拡張は802.11sとして知られている。本稿では,802.11s標準化の経緯や,スコープ,また議論されている技術アイテムなどを紹介する。また,主に無線メッシュネットワークのユースケースの観点から,ソフトウェア無線に対する期待についても言及する。 |
| 抄録(英) | IEEE802.11 committee is currently working on the standardization of the "mesh network extension" to the 802.11 wireless LAN base standard. This work is under the process of Task Group "s", which is one of the subcommittees of the IEEE802.11 Working Group, and the mesh networking extension is known as 802.11s. This paper introduces the background and history of the standardization, the scope of the work, and the major technical items discussed among the task group members. The expectations for the software radio is also described, mainly from the broad use cases of wireless mesh network. |
