Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Mobile IPv6 (MIPv6) has several problems such as redundant routing and single point of failure because packets between a mobile node (MN) and its correspondent node (CN) are forwarded by the Home Agent (HA). Global HA-HA protocol solves such problems by being able to place multiple HAs distributedly. This paper analyses placement of multiple HAs in the AS topology level that can achieve good performance by simulation. This paper focuses only on static analysis in which routes between MNs and CNs are considered. In the analysis, an AS level topology composed of 20,000 ASs is generated in which 100,000 pairs of MNs and CNs are randomly placed. Selection of an AS in which a HA is placed is based on "betweenness," which is an index of a node in a graph. The analysis in this paper focuses on the case where two HAs are placed. As a result, good performance is shown if the 2nd HA is placed in an AS with high betweenness as expected. However, it was found that the situation becomes worse if the 2nd HA is place in an AS with medium betweenness. Similar results are acquired on a toplogy composed of 30,000 ASs.
