Abstract(in English) | In this paper, we analyze Live E! wide area sensor network and clarify the functionalities and properties that are required for practical wide area sensor networks. In May 2008, Live E! system is working with nine distributed servers operated internationally over the Internet. In the design of wide area sensor networks, we must aware (1)patterns of search requests by user applications and (2)models of search performance on the underlying network properties. We also need to investigate (3)operating status of sensors for improving reliability of sensor readings in the future. We have analyzed these data and discussed future directions of wide area sensor networks. |
