Abstract(in English) | In order to understand and practice the standards of functional safety, the practitioners are to acquire wide-ranged knowledge on which the standards are based. In the present article, the minimum necessary matters to be initiated into functional safety, namely, the bases of functional safety and how to calculate the safety integrity as well, as how to decide the safety integrity level for a safety related-system are outlined for the engineers who have started studying the standards. |
