Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Developmental robotics is an emerging field of research at the intersection of robotics and developmental sciences. The present paper proposes to introduce a curiosity model into a mobile robot. The model uses hypothetical curiosity defined by the improvement of a prediction error based on the difference between a map and sensory information. Simulation experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of the introduction of intrinsic motivation.
