Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In the effect of color contrast, the impression of a color changes with situations; there is a case in which it is misunderstood on the color appearances. This research proposes the method of canceling misunderstanding such color appearances. Kobayashi et al.(2007) proposed the method using the lateral inhibition and Weber-Fechner law for the image processing. The method emphasized the contrast of the black and white image using the global conversion led from Weber-Fechner law combined with the local conversion with lateral inhibition. In this research, it is a target to perceive original color which does not include the influence of the surrounding colors. Therefore we proposed the image correction method using the inverse processes of global conversion by Weber-Fechner law and the local conversion by lateral inhibition. We add a new parameter in order to perform more precise color correction. We verified whether the proposal method has rectified the color contrast effect by psychological experiment. The result shows that it succeeds in compensation of the color contrast effect.
