Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper discusses the physiological indices and psychological indices for the evaluation of workload. Authors focused on the salivary amylase activity and the fluctuation of R-R interval as physiological indices and NASA-TLX as psychological index. In order to study the relation among these indices, evaluation experiments using a simple computer game task were carried out. In this experiments, not only hearing people, hearing-impaired people were also applied as the subjects. In order to evaluate workload using NASA-TLX, it is necessary to make hearing-impaired subjects understand the definition of evaluation measure and evaluation process. This issue is important for the experiments using hearing-impaired people. Authors used a video of JSL (Japanese Sign Language) sign for the explanation of evaluation methods. In consequence, evaluation results by NASA-TLX and evaluation results by physiological methods showed comparable tendencies.
