Abstract(in English) | We have investigated a speech visualization method in order to observe speech phenomena, analyze speech signal and use as a feedback of utterance. Previously, we developed a software tool ( Speech-ART) as a speech visualizing system and have used it in speech analysis at laboratory. However, because its function was based on offline processing, it has been restricted to observe speech features in real time or use it as a speech training tool. Thereafter, we have improved efficiencies in algorithms and program structures of speech analysis and image processing. As results, a real-time system was developed on a general-purpose PC. In this paper, we describe a background of speech visualization and its realization, and introduce functions and operations of proto type systems for speech training. |
