Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Currently, there are various devices and methods to enable physically disabled persons (e.g. a person with cerebral palsy) on PC operations. In this study, we paid attention to the numpad pointing mouse keys and evaluated it. As a result, we found out that problems existed in its operability. We also learned that the burden was heavier for the users. With these reasons, we developed pointing support method to improve operability and reduce the burden. In our support method, monitor screen is divided by nine areas and the mouse cursor is moved to center of the selected area. This operation is performed recursively. In this report, we present the results of evaluation experiment about mouse keys and our support method.
