Braille Presentation Method for Tactile Display

Abstract(in English) We are researching and developing a multimedia browsing system for persons with visual disabilities. This system employs audio or Braille guidance scheme as a basic access method that stress to browse transformed hierarchical menu contents in data broadcasting and the web. Our present work aimed at making it easier for users to understand GUI patterns, figures, and tables by using an interactive presentation method with a tactile display featuring touch sensor. In this paper we present an overview about a tactile presentation and operation method for Graphical user interface, and also describe a new method for representing GUI patterns by Braille.
