Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper presents a novel idea of applying "Virtual Assistant" to cooking video production. "Virtual Assistant" is an agent that gives appropriate responces to a human actions, i.e., explanations and other accompainying behaviors, and makes it easier for the human to explain something in comprehensible ways. In this research, we designed automatic event recognition, actions of virtual assistant, and strategis of conversation for taking a video in an environment such as a kitchen in our own home. Based on this design, we conducted some experiences for clarifying how the behaviors of a person changes with the assist of virtual assistant. Some good effects are obtained, e.g., people explaining cooking feel easier in video taking; explanations on knack or know-how are increased, etc.
