Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We are proposing a technique of refractive index (RI) mapping by use of four-wave mixing (FWM) process, which is caused by focusing ultra-short optical pulses with a high-numerical aperture objective lens. Compared to conventional techniques in which RI information is acquired from optical phase, our method is completely novel in that RI information is acquired from optical intensity. This technique offers high spatial resolution in three-dimensions and quantitative capability. However, we have found that the RI distribution acquired by this technique involves artifacts. In this report, we analyze the artifacts and study on its compensation.
