Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In analysis of lamellar grating type periodic waveguide of finite length with rectangular groove, a uniform waveguide with same thickness as that of groove top has been usually connected to input side of periodic structure. In that case, as the wavelength becomes shorter, reflected power of radiation field increases and that of dominant guided mode R_ decreases. However, in another case where the thickness of uniform waveguide is same as that of groove bottom, wavelength characteristics of R_ shows inverse one to the former case. In similar numerical analyses for other kind of periodic waveguides, a common phenomenon is obtained, and one of qualitative explanation is tried for such phenomena.
