Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A biological tissue sample with some flbrotic tendons and a stained section of the tissue with the same acoustic impedance as the unstained tissue is investigated by a coaxial reflective ultrasound-modulated optical tomography. Both fibers and stained tissue are visualized as ultrasound-modulated optical signals from different reflection light patterns. Analysis of the backscattered light characteristic has been investigated and indicated that these signals involve microscopic changes in speckle pattern and macroscopic changes in reflected light distribution.
