Optical input characteristics of SFQ circuit integrated with MSM photo diode

Abstract(in English) We have proposed to use a SFQ (Single Flux Quantum) circuit, which can operate by over 100 GHz with low power consumption, as a buffer memory in the optical packet switch. The optical interface for SFQ circuit can suppress the thermal load into a cryostat and realize high speed and low loss fiber data transmission. In this paper, we report characteristics of metal/semiconductor/metal photo diode (MSM-PD) as an optical input interface for SFQ circuit. And then, we discuss an integration module technique between SFQ circuit chip and MSM-PD chip and present a SFQ circuit operation by optical signal input to MSM-PD.
