Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) N,N'-di(1-naphthyl)-N,N'-diphenyl-(1,1'- biphenyl)-4,4'-diamine (NPD) is often used as a hole-transport layer material in organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). The poly crystallization of organic films in OLEDs is one of the degradation factors of the device performance. The production and growth of polycrystalline region can be efficiently suppressed by multilayer structure method. The OLEDs having multilayer hole transport layer (HTL) have the similar initial EL properties as the OLEDs having organic alloy HTL and only NPD HTL. In this report, the authors demonstrate that the multilayer structure method is useful for organic electronic devices.
