A Sensor for Measurement of Water Vapor Transmission Rate of plastic films : Thin Polyimide Film Method

Abstract(in English) Thin polyimide films were spin coated on a glass substrate to fabricate humidity sensors, which were applied to measure the vapor transmission rate of plastic films. The dielectric properties of polyimide films were investigated by measuring frequency, humidity and, temperature dependences. A state of water absorbed in a polyimide film was discussed from the physical point of view. This method proposed in this report was compared with a conventional MOCON method by using PET films. A high sensitive response to the humidity was proved.
