Bioelectric Potential Responses of Plant Under Blinking Light Irradiation and Evaluation of Photosynthetic Activity

Abstract(in English) Bioelectric potential of plants is generated by ion concentration difference between inside and outside of plant cell. It has been reported that the bioelectric potential of plants changes at the beginning of steady light irradiation and its amplitude correlates with photosynthetic rate. However, the potential activities under the blinking irradiation have not been clarified yet. In this study, we have measured the potential of leafs and its ambient CO_2 concentration under the blinking irradiation. The results showed that the potential changed at the beginning of blinking irradiation as seen in the steady irradiation, and its amplitude correlated with photosynthesis rate.
