Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In order to detect human face without knowing the position and the size in the image, tens of thousands of classifications are required. The stereo camera provides two images and the number of classification becomes numerous when full search is performed. In this paper, the number of classification is decreased by searching for the limited position and scale by using distance information, and the video-rate face detection is achieved. Moreover, it is considered that the accuracy of the detection system improves by searching the stereo image.
