Abstract(in English) | It is important, in biometrics and human-computer interaction(HCI), to extract features stably from facial elements. In this study, we propose a method of tracking the mouth area robust to lighting variation, which is the most important environmental factor. We use the deformable template matching for tracking the mouth contours when the mouth is opened or shut. Our method enables stable tracking of the facial image sequence. |
