Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have developed a new real-time text presentation system using mobile phone for hearing impaired persons. And We have developed a system which presents ideogram with parentheses alongside Chinese Characters according to grade. We describe the functions, characteristics, and speech content presentation methods of the system. As part of our efforts to provide good comprehension to hearing impaired students using the system, we used the system in a lecture. After the lecture, we distributed a questionnaire to the hearing impaired students regarding the real-time text presentation. By analyzing the questionnaire results, we were able to verify the usefulness and necessity of information support using mobile phone.
