Abstract(in English) We propose an improved simulation method of image reconstruction from a huge size full-color computer-generated rainbow hologram (CGRH). It is very useful to simulate reconstructed images from CGRH before printing to confirm the hologram is calculated properly. In our previous method, the required memory amount is as same as the hologram size. Therefore, it is difficult to realize interactive simulation of image reconstruction from the CGRH whose size exceeds one Giga Byte (GB). In this paper, we propose a new reconstruction method using the intermediate images those are obtained from the CGRH and used to calculation of the diffracted light toward the viewer. In the numerical experiments, the reconstructed images simulated from the CGRH of 9.6 GB become quite similar to the optically reconstructed images.
