Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this research, we have set our goal as developing a system which can assist autistic individuals to learn how to generate two-word utterances. By observing speech behavior of an autistic individual at a day care institution, we have found out that although the number of words he can produce was very limited, there were quite a number of words he could understand. However, the words were limited to those which were familiar to him. We also found out that he had difficulty understanding verbs after having him try out the system we made. That system was made only with texts so we then made a system using not only texts but also photos and pictograms. With the latter system, we could find improvements in his reaction.
