Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Given the number of difficulties shared by aphasia rehabilitation and foreign language education as well as the fairly widespread use of distant or e-learning for the latter at higher education institutions, information technologies are expected to provide effective alternative or supplementary tools to rehabilitation by human language therapists. Lingraphica^[○!R] is a sophisticated and commercially viable example of such tools developed in the U.N. for English as well as French and Spanish aphasics, but comparable e-learning systems have not been available in Japan. I have thus experimentally produced e-learning versions of some of the paper-based or therapist-accompanied exercises by means of free authoring software and course management systems standardly used in English education. I will also discuss some of the linguistic difficulties that would emerge in creating Japanese contents to Lingrapica^[○!R], which include the opposite ordering of content and function words in Japanese and English.
