Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Low-cost and high-density earthquake monitoring systems are essential since monitoring is a fundamental technology against earthquakes. In this research, we are developing a low-cost and high-density earthquake monitoring system using wireless sensor networks. Earthquake monitoring neccesitates new a requirement for wireless sensor networks technology: data fidelity. For high-fidelity monitoring, we are developing the monitoring system with Pavenet OS, which is a hard-realtime operating system for sensor nodes. Our evaluation shows that the system can measure acceleration at 100Hz with less than 0.26us jitter while using wireless communication. In this paper, we present the implementation and preliminary evaluation of the monitoring system.
