Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this article, we evaluated multi-hop communication performance of ZigBee sensor network in which relaying nodes of sensor data are placed in grid-shape, aiming at collecting basic performance data for actual use of ZigBee as a sensor network. Performance is evaluated through simulation, using sensor density, transmission range, placement of relaying nodes and sensor data request interval as parameters, in the case when ZigBee sensor network is used as a home network and sensors are placed at random. Needed sensor data interval for keeping data ratio high, and optimum parameters achieving minimum power consumption are obtained through this simulation.
