Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Advances in broadband IP networks, encoders, and decoders (CODECs) have enabled IPTV services. To provide with users a high-quality service, designing and managing the quality of experience (QoE) is extremely important. In this paper, we derived a relationship between video quality and quality parameters based on a subjective quality assessment. We developed a video quality estimation model based on video quality characteristics. The results showed that the estimation error was equivalent to the statistical ambiguity of subjective quality. Therefore, our proposed model could be applied to accurate quality monitoring of IPTV services.
