Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This report studies the effect of error concealment and frame skipping on QoE (Quality of Experience) in audio-video IP transmission. We investigate the effect not only when both error concealment and frame skipping are applied but also when either of them is selected according to the error concealment ratio. We conducted experiments on the schemes with many contents and assessed QoE by the method of successive categories. As a result, we see that the effect of error concealment and frame skipping on QoE depends on characteristics of the contents. In addition, we show that QoE improves by changing the threshold of the error concealment ratio for the selection accoding to the characteristics of the contents.
