Abstract(in English)	IEC/TC94 is a technical committee of relays for control and electro-communication equipments etc. in International Electrotechnical Commission. Here, an outline of the recent activities is described from the following points of view: 1) Strategy of EU for IEC and its influence on Japanese policy 2) The status of discussion of latest documents on basic standards of relays, the heavy duty reed switch etc. 3) Next theme and challenges of future foe IEC/TC94 This report appeals the following also: it is very important for Japanese experts to participate in international standardization activities and a matter of great urgency to set up venues for the activities, in order to survive in an increasingly competitive grovel economy.
