Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) MRI(Magnetic Resonance Imaging) is a medical system which in late years has been used to obtain the cross-sectional image of the human body. An open-configuration MR system is introduced at Shiga University of Medical School Science in order to conduct microwave coagulation therapy by using near-real-time MR images. However, MRI systems generate a very large noise (about 120dBSPL). Hence, an operator cannot communicate other medical staff (ex. nurses and anesthesists) and is exposed to the large MR noise for a long time. This shows an elevated risk of the operation. We therefore attempt to implement an active noise control (ANC) system in order to reduce the MR noise. In this paper, we apply an ANC system implmented with DSK(DSP Starter Kit) for an open-configuration MR system of Shiga University of Medical Science and the cancellation performance is demonstrated through experimental results.
