Abstract(in English) In order to overcome the high optical phase sensitivity of DQPSK demodulator, we propose a monitor and control method of phase offset based on cross-correlation calculation between two detection lanes. Since this method can operate regardless of optical signal distortion due to chromatic dispersion and polarization mode dispersion, and regardless of clock recovery status, the start-up control sequence of DQPSK receiver should be simplified. A proof-of principle experiment with 43Gbit/s RZ-DQPSK signal showed a phase precision and stability well below the target.
