Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) VDSL service has been progressed because it achieves high-speed Internet access with copper premises cables. Although inexpensive FTTH service has been offered by VDSL, the link between VDSL Ethernet switch and VDSL modem is influenced by noise mixed into premises cables. There are some premises cables called Hirauchi-sen, Tsuiuchi-sen, or Kounai-sen, and they have two types of structures. One is a flat cable, and the other is a twisted pair cable. The electrical characteristics of their cables are different (e.g., Transmission Loss, Longitudinal conversion loss, and Cross-talk). In this paper, we describe the relationship between the electrical characteristics of premises cables and the immunity level of the link between VDSL Ethernet switch and VDSL modem.
