Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) To realize a large-scale edge router or switch which has more than 40Gbps lines, a traffic monitoring technology which can perform over such the high-speed lines is necessary from the standpoint of network management. However there is hardly a traffic monitoring technology which can perform even over 10Gbps lines at present. In this paper, we describe current situation of traffic monitoring technologies, issues in high-speed traffic monitoring, and technical goals of high-speed flow statistics functions which the future large-scale edge router or switch should implement as traffic monitor. Furthermore, we also describe that the technology based on "Stream Mining", a kind of data mining technology, meets the goals of high-speed flow statistics function.
