| 抄録(和) | コアの周囲に複数の空孔を設けた空孔アシストファイバについて、メカニカルスプライスによる接続を検討した。従来のメカニカルスプライスで空孔アシストファイバを接続した場合、メカニカルスプライスに内蔵されたオイル状の屈折率整合剤が空孔内へ浸入して特性が大きく劣化する課題があった。固形状の屈折率整合剤を通常のメカニカルスプライスへ適量内蔵することで、空孔アシストファイバをSMFと同等の光学特性でメカニカルスプライスにより接続できることを確認した。 |
| 抄録(英) | We report the experimental results of mechanical splice for hole-assisted fiber. When we connect the hole-assisted fibers with the conventional mechanical splice, there is a problem that the insertion loss greatly increases because the holes are filled with the liquid refractive index matching material in the mechanical splice. We confirmed that mechanical splice including the proper quantity of solid refractive index matching material enables us to connect the hole-assisted fibers with the same optical performance as the mechanical splice of the single mode fibers. |
