Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Characteristics of wavelength division multiplexing transmission systems were numerically analyzed to estimate optimal capacity per channel for several modulation formats. The optimal capacity per channel were found to be between 25Gbps/ch and 40Gbps/ch in each format. The optimal average power were found to be between 0dBm and 2dBm in each format.
