| 抄録(和) | 本研究は促音の知覚において近接音環境がどのような影響を与えるのかを明らかにすることを目的とし、以下の観点から調査を行った。第一、先行母音長と促音の境界値との関係を明らかにする。第二、促音の境界値と先行子音種との関係を明らかにする。第三、促音の知覚にVC単位が関与しているかを検証する。以上の研究質問を明らかにするため、日本語母語話者及び韓国人日本語学習者を対象に促音の知覚調査を行った。その結果、以下のことが明らかになった。まず、先行母音長と促音の境界値との関係では、先行母音長と促音の境界値は補償関係であることが確認された。次に、先行子音種と促音の境界値との関係は日本語母語話者のみ有意な影響を受けていることがわかった。従って、先行子音種との関係に関してはより綿密に再検討が必要であろう。最後に促音の知覚単位がVC単位であるのかについて検証した。主に、補償効果の適用範囲について検証した。その結果、補償効果は音節内で適用し、VC単位とは直接関連を見つけることができなかった。従って、促音の知覚単位がVC単位であるかに関しては再検討が必要である。 |
| 抄録(英) | This paper reports research investigating the influence of adjacent phonemes on the perception of Japanese geminate (/sokuon/) and singleton stops. Three questions were examined : 1) What is the relationship between the length of the prior vowel and the perceptual categorization of the geminate/ singleton stop? 2) What is the relationship between the prior consonant and the perceptual categorization of the geminate/singleton stop? 3) What are the differences, if any, between the perceptual categorization of Korean learners of Japanese and native speakers? The results of this study demonstrated that there was a compensation effect observed in the perceptual boundaries when the prior vowel was shortened. These results indicate a possibility that the perceptual units of geminate/singleton stops are VC units. It was also determined that the consonant prior to the geminate/singleton stop affected perceptual categorization by native speakers. However, the results of this study suggest that further investigation is necessary before any conclusions can be drawn. Finally, it was determined that native speakers and Korean learners perceive the geminate/singleton stop as part of a VC unit. However, the position of the perceptual boundary is different. This difference is possibly related to compensation. |
