Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this research, in order to reduce computational time for ray-tracing calculation, we propose an approximation method. The method is to restrict the calculation area into an elliptical area which keeps required prediction accuracy in received signal level. The major axis length of the ellipsoid is determined as a function of the distance between Tx and Rx sites, and Tx antenna height, as well as allowable error range. We also propose a prediction formula for determining appropriate length of the major axis of the ellipsoid. Drastic reduction of computational time for ray-tracing with proposed scheme is demonstrated.
