Abstract(in English) Advances of digital integrated circuits in recent years are remarkable, and then systems that have ever been distant ideas are able to be designed. Digital direct synthesis (DDS) devices that have been developed in telecommunication fields are enable to generate waveforms for MTI radars that must be low phase noise and high flexibility. This study is about a new transmit/receive system of radars. In this paper, transmit and local signals of a radar can be generated by a single RF source that consists of an alternatively oscillating DDS device and a frequency converter. This system is inquired into theoretical possibility of phase characteristics. Transient responses of frequency tuning, baseband coherency of pulse-to-pulse and reproduction of Doppler signals are verified by numerical simulations.
