Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The surgical gloves are put on to prevent the cross infection between a patient and the surgeon. On the other hand, it is reported that the opportunity of pinhole breaks in surgical gloves has increased when the surgical operation time is expanded more than 2 hrs. The size of pinhole is defined at the scales from about 1.0 to 20μm in its aperture diameter. It is difficult to identify its location because these is no delineate method to do that. Whereas several hypothesizes for making micro-pinhole breaks were reported, the understanding mechanisms of making pinhole have not been established. In previous study, we could get the clear pinhole made by KrF laser irradiation in surgical gloves experimental condition. In this present report, we tried to establish a newly developed pinhole detection method in surface of surgical gloves employing a chemiluminescense reaction and optical measurement by CCD camera was employed.
